Buyer Guide

1. Search

Search the upcoming fixtures on our Manchester City Seat Exchange homepage. Select the match you would like to attend by clicking on the match date or the opposition team. If the Manchester City Seat Exchange is open for this match, you will be shown the list of all the seats available.

You can sort this list by location, price or number of seats in the package. Sellers who are offering multiple seats for a match may be willing to sell less than the number listed but the maximum number of seats that can be purchased per qualifying supporter is six (6) tickets per match (except for the Manchester United fixture, where the limit is one (1) per qualifying supporter).

Tickets can be listed by Seasoncard holders at anytime, and are then available for purchase to Citycard holders, LIVE4CITY Members and Accesscard holders from four (4) weeks before the match.

2. Select Your Seats

Once you have selected the seat or package of seats you are interested in, click on the BUY button. If you have not already logged into the Manchester City website in this online session you will be redirected to this log in process and then returned automatically to continue the buying process. To purchase tickets on the Manchester Seat Exchange, you must be a qualifying supporter, which includes all of the following:

  • Seasoncard holder
  • Citycard holder
  • Accesscard holder
  • LIVE4CITY member

You will be presented with a screen confirming details of the seat or package of seats you want to buy, together with clear information on the costs (including 15% buyer fee), and an opportunity to read the ticket conditions. If you have selected a package of seats the seller is willing to split you will be able to indicate the number of seats you wish to purchase.

Confirm your selection or go back to the list of seats available for the match or to the list of matches.

3. Loyalty Points

The loyalty points system makes full use of the technology the Stadium smart card brings, and enables fans who have shown their support to be rewarded with priority for buying tickets for major games. Whether you are a Seasoncard holder, Citycard holder, or non-member who holds an Accesscard, you will automatically have your attendance of games tracked.

This means that when seats go on sale for popular games and cup fixtures, supporters with the most loyalty points will be able to purchase seats first. For example, seats may go on sale to those supporters with more than 2000 points on the first day of sale, supporters with 1500 points on the second day and so on.

As the season progresses you will be able to build up the number of loyalty points you have by attending more games. Each extra game you attend is worth 10 loyalty points. Each time you renew your Seasoncard you will gain a further 100 loyalty points. Points are carried over from one season to the next.

Seasoncard holders who do not renew their Seasoncard will have their loyalty points reduced. On different occasions during the season, extra loyalty points may be awarded as part of a special promotion. All smart card holders are able to check how many loyalty points they hold online by clicking here.

You can check the loyalty points required to purchase a seat in the following locations:

  • In the match programme
  • By calling 0870 062 1894 (lines open seven days a week)
  • Online under latest ticket news

4. Confirm Payment

You will be asked to enter your chosen payment method and details for this purchase. Currently, we accept VISA and MasterCard credit cards, or VISA, Maestro and Solo debit cards. This will be handled by a secure on line payment service. Once the payment process is successfully completed you will receive an email confirming your purchase.

Your ticket will then be activated on your Accesscard or Citycard for that match. If you do not have an Accesscard, one will be sent to you in the post. Alternatively, if you already have a seat activated on your Citycard or Accesscard for this fixture, or have purchased more than one seat, you will receive a paper ticket.

If you need more tickets for this match or another match simply repeat this process.

5.Enjoy the Match

Since your ticket is automatically activated on your Citycard or Accesscard, or your paper ticket has been posted to you, all you need to do on the day of the match is arrive at the Stadium and enter through the gate shown on your confirmation email. If you have purchased your ticket(s) less than 4 days before the match, you may need to collect an Accesscard or paper ticket at the City of Manchester Stadium. For any other queries on the matchday, staff at the Manchester City Box Office will be available to assist you.
