When do tickets become available to purchase on the Manchester City Seat Exchange?

Hospitality tickets can be purchased for any fixture from the beginning of the season. Match tickets can then be purchased at the same time as they go on-sale from the Club.

Citycard holders, LIVE4CITY members, Seasoncard and Accesscard holders can then purchase match tickets from four (4) weeks before each match. A loyalty points system is applied to selected matches to establish which qualifying supporters are able to purchase tickets.

What is the loyalty points system?

The loyalty points system, managed by Manchester City, makes full use of the technology the Stadium smart card brings, and enables fans who have shown their support to be rewarded with priority for buying tickets for major games.

Seasoncard, Citycard and Accesscard holders, and LIVE4CITY members, automatically have their attendance of games tracked. This means that when seats go on sale for popular games and cup fixtures, supporters with the most loyalty points are able to purchase seats first. For example, seats may go on sale to those supporters with more than 2000 points on the first day of sale, supporters with 1500 points on the second day and so on.

As the season progresses, supporters build up the number of loyalty points they have by attending more games. Each extra game is worth 10 loyalty points. Each time a Seasoncard holder renews their Seasoncard they gain a further 100 loyalty points. Points are carried over from one season to the next.

All Card Holders can check how many loyalty points they hold by clicking here.

How many tickets can an individual buy?

Each qualifying supporter is permitted to up to six (6) tickets per match on the Manchester City Seat Exchange, except for the Manchester United fixture, where each qualifying supporter is permitted to purchase one (1) ticket.

How do I know how many tickets I can buy from each listing?

If I cannot find the exact seats I want, should I wait for a Seasoncard holder to list them?

The Manchester City Seat Exchange only displays tickets that have been listed for sale by Seasoncard holders. We cannot guarantee that any tickets may or may not be listed in the future for other sections of the Stadium, so if you really want to attend the match we recommend you purchase tickets from those currently available.

Why are there no tickets listed for the match I want to attend?

The Manchester City Seat Exchange is a website for qualifying supporters to buy and Seasoncard holders to sell tickets, with Seasoncard holders listing their tickets all the time. There are a number of reasons why tickets may not be available for a match:

  1. No Seasoncard holders have listed their seats for this fixture
  2. All the listings for this fixture have been purchased
  3. It is less than 72 hours before kick-off
  4. There are no tickets matching your search criteria.

Why is it not possible to buy tickets less than 72 hours before a match?

Seats listed on the Manchester City Seat Exchange expire 72 hours before the match. This constraint exists so that tickets can be processed and activated/delivered in time for the match.

How do I select the tickets I want to purchase?

When you have found the match that you want to attend, select your tickets from the available list. You may see multiple tickets listed at varying prices. These are priced according the to box office prices for that fixture. We recommend that you check the location of the seats carefully so you can make an informed decision about the tickets you wish to purchase.

How can I see where tickets are located in the Stadium?

A map of the City of Manchester Stadium is provided so you can see where your seats are located. This will give you a good indication of where you will be sitting.

Once I have selected my tickets, are they reserved?

Once you select your tickets, they are ‘locked’ for three minutes, giving you plenty of time to complete your transaction. This means that for the following three minutes these tickets are not available for any other supporters to purchase. If you do not complete your purchase within three minutes, the tickets will be released back to the general listings and made available to everyone on the Manchester City Seat Exchange website.

How are tickets priced?

The prices of the tickets sold on the Manchester City Seat Exchange are the same as those in the Manchester City Box Office (before applicable fees and taxes).

Is the price displayed for all the tickets or per ticket?
